B. and I went to our nations capital a few years ago. It was his first time there and my second, having gone with my Senior class back in High School. I love visiting the monuments and being immersed in all the history. We were there for the 4th of July so it was very busy. The fireworks display they put on was amazing though and made dealing with the crowds worth it. Being next to the White House and Washington monument while celebrating made the experience so memorable and special. My only regret is that I didn’t take many photos on either of my trips there, and I really wish I would have. I guess that just means I will have to plan another return visit!
